8/18/09 No American gaming license for crooks and junk people!
In the United States, some politicians, states, and corporations, are making preparations for legalized and regulated online gambling.
The spirit of this legislation is to favor American corporations and indirectly block access to foreign operators. Many new markets should open up in 2010 but mainly for American corporations with a clean name.
American protectionism and “buy American” are easy to sell to the American people.
Politicians finally understood that they must regulate online gambling and give the American people the freedom they are entitled to have. Politicians also want the money generated by online gambling to stay in the United States and not to go offshore.
For politicians, the name of the game is to legalize, regulate and tax online gambling. Make it look like they respect World Trade Organization and EU trade agreements, but in reality strongly favor American corporations.
By principle, I don’t like any legislation that favors certain people, and clearly block others. This is protectionism, and American corporations would not like to face this when exporting their goods or services, or setting up branches in foreign markets. Free trade is nearly always better.
In all fairness to the American politicians, they have a valid point to protect the American people, because a large percentage of the current online gambling operators are crooks, junk people, and they have long histories of frauds, dishonesties, lies, association with criminals, cooking the books, laundering money, cheating their own partners and shareholders, and much more too long to list here. In other words, they should be in prison!
Is it right to block access to the American market to these crooks? Yes, absolutely, and the credibility of the new legislation depends on keeping the crooks out. This is not about free trade, it’s about keeping the crooks out, and it’s a legitimate and valid concern.
It is wrong to assume that just because online gambling will be legalized in the United States that it should be open to every crook on the planet. The World Trade Organization and EU cannot ask the United States to issue gaming licensee to crooks and criminals. There won’t be any breach of trade agreements because the crooks will simply not qualify for an American gaming license. Free trade was never meant to be an invitation for crooks and criminals.
It is also totally wrong to assume that just because a foreign online gambling operator is a public company that they must be reputable. There are plenty of examples of just the opposite. To only name a few:
Cryptologic Inc. the game developer and e-cash company from Canada
This junk company is publicly traded on Nasdaq. The company was financed by a convicted gangster and drug dealer by the name of Bill Scott, an American from Ohio. This man is a serial criminal and it runs in his family. He was many times in prison, and would be in prison again today if he was not hiding in an island.
Bill Scott is the front man for Intercasino.com and a Cryptologic licensee. Cryptologic Inc. personally told me that they owned 85% of Intercasino.com and the other 15% were probably owned by the gangster Bill Scott.
These criminals want everyone to believe that Intercasino.com is only their licensee, but it’s another lie. Who doesn’t know that Intercasino.com is owned by Cryptologic Inc.?
Cryptologic’s shareholders got absolutely nothing for it when these thieves decided that Intercasino.com was too hot to keep, and they did a deal with the gangster Bill Scott to be the apparent front man. Considering that for many years Intercasino.com was supplying the majority of the revenues to Cryptologic Inc. it’s another massive fraud to steal assets from their own shareholders. Cryptologic Inc. stole Intercasino.com and other main sites from their own shareholders.
Cryptologic Inc., Intercasino.com and Bill Scott have a long history of laundering dirty money. This has been their biggest source or revenues for the last 14 years. Their business is organized crime.
Cryptologic as an e-cash company has been laundering money for about 14 years. They also cheat their own licensees, shareholders, affiliates, and tax authorities.
Bill Scott also defrauded investors of large sums of money with his fraudulent scams and operations in Australia. He even managed to get an Australian gaming license and got listed on the stock market. When things got too hot, he closed down and disappeared with the stolen money. This is what happens when crooks get a gaming license.
This whole group of criminals are the perfect example of what the United States should reject.
The hypocrisy of the American system is such that the organized crime corporation Cryptologic Inc. is still listed on Nasdaq.
Party Poker – Party Gaming Plc. and related companies
I have known these people since they started in 1997, and have yet to see anything honest they did. They hold the world record for the biggest pump and dump on the stock market for an online gaming company.
When an honest company does an IPO, it’s to develop the business. When Party Gaming went public in London, the obvious primary goal was to pump and dump the shares so the owners could cash out and leave. Investors lost billions of dollars, and there is little they can do because they were warned in the prospectus. They were plenty of warnings about the risk of buying their shares, but investors were not told that the primary goal was to pump and dump the shares so the founders could cash out.
In an obvious effort to pump up the figures even more before going public, Party Gaming hired a well known crook with very close ties to the Mafia. They put him in charge of their affiliates program.
Everything I have seen about these people only shows that they are crooks, and they will stop at nearly nothing to achieve their dishonest goals.
This whole group of criminals and crooks are another perfect example of what the United States should reject.
Sportingbet Plc. and their other corporations.
Their business is organized crime, and they have a long history of doing just that. It goes back to the days when they were in bed with Starnet Communications from Vancouver, Canada, This organized crime operation went bust after years of criminal activities. Many directors and officers are on the run and hiding, because they are wanted criminals.
Sportingbet sold their American operations to themselves for $1. Their own shareholders got screwed and got nothing, and suffered massive losses. Sportingbet’s American operations were employing 500 people. The symbolic sale price of $1 plus debts is a massive fraud that completely undervalues the assets sold.
Some years ago, Sportingbet bought Paradise Poker for a large sum of money. I would be interested to know why they paid millions of dollars to the sellers in Canada for so many years after they already paid the purchase price. I don’t see any other explanation than another fraud to take money out of the public company and screw the shareholders and the tax authorities.
No American gaming licenses for these crooks
It will take hundreds of pages to give you more examples how these three groups of crooks have a long history of organized crime, and cheating and defrauding as many people as possible. They are fundamentally dishonest and their business model is fraud.
When you closely examine their histories, they don’t deserve to be trusted for $10. It would be totally irresponsible for the United States to issue gaming licenses to these crooks.
The danger is that they will probably apply for an American gaming license under different names.
There are plenty more foreign online gaming crooks. When they don’t cheat one way, they cheat another way. They can’t resist the temptation and will seize every opportunity. The vast majority of current foreign online gaming operators are crooks or junk people.
Some Internet industries have attracted high quality people. Online gambling has attracted the wrong people, junk people that would probably be doing business in the streets if they didn’t go into online gambling.
Most think that the only way of doing business is by screwing someone else.
A lot of current online gambling operators are affected by congenital dishonesty, and they are beyond recovery.
The safest way to avoid issuing American gaming licenses to these junk people is to be protectionist.
The American people have the human right to have full and unrestricted access to the Internet, and do what they like inside their homes. Online gambling should be a human right, available to anyone of legal age. Politicians and governments should have no right to interfere with this fundamental freedom, and they should be punished if they try. Punished by not voting and supporting them.
Most people enjoy online gambling. Politicians and governments should have no rights whatsoever to try to stop grown up adults from doing what they enjoy doing. If the American people tolerate this, the next things they can expect is interference for what they do in their bedroom with a consenting partner, what they eat, drink, read, and which TV program they can view, and generally, obvious abusive interference with their freedom and private life.
I don’t agree with total freedom. There should be a zero tolerance for mentally sick people interested in child pornography and other vicious activities. Online gambling doesn’t hurt anyone, and it’s a choice free adults should have.
The only way to control online gambling is to regulate and tax it. Politicians and the government have an obligation to keep the crooks out. They will need to watch out for the real danger that the crooks will probably apply for an American gaming license under different names.
I say NO to most Republicans and other fanatic groups. They are bad news for the United States, bad news for the economy, bad news for the rest of the world, bad news for everybody. They have already clearly shown how incompetent they really are. The American people and the world have already been severely punished. Enough is enough. Nobody needs more punishment.
It is obvious to me that Republicans don’t see the difference between right and wrong. They are only interested to do what they think will generate the most votes for them. Republicans should be kicked out before they do more damages, unless they wake up to reality and start doing the right things.
I say YES to regulated online gambling in the United States and other countries. This should not be confused with allowing all the crooks and junk people on the planet to have a gaming license. The safest way to avoid issuing American gaming licenses to these crooks is to be protectionist.
