11/24/09 Individual freedom blocked by hypocrisy, political and moral corruption
It’s about time voters wake up to reality and realize that a lot of their votes and support goes to politicians and governments that only do what is the best for them, and not for the people that support them.
The hypocrisy and political and moral corruption seen in politicians is sickening. Like in cancer, if you don’t get rid of it fast, it will take over and get rid of you. There is no limit to what these politicians will do, or not do, as long as they benefit from it. Never mind all the suckers that support them financially and with their votes.
Politics is about promising anything and everything, knowing perfectly well that the promises won’t be kept, for the simple reason that they were lies in the first place. Even for the small percentage that was not straight lies, politicians have a very short memory once they get elected.
They get elected by promising things, but once they get elected, it’s forgotten until the next elections.
This disgusting hypocrisy is very apparent with online gambling. Politicians and governments couldn’t care less if they violate the fundamental freedom rights of people. At the end of the day, the only thing that counts for them, is what will serve best their own personal political agenda.
The only politicians that stick to their promises, are the out of touch fanatics that have a zero tolerance for anything that is not in line with their own personal political agendas. These dangerous politicians put their own priorities above anything else, and they will find any excuse to justify their intolerances.
Take for example horse racing. Most insiders will tell you that all racehorses are fixed. This doesn’t stop the United States and France to consider that betting online for racehorses is legal, because they have a flourishing land based racehorse industry that pays taxes. The only reason politicians and governments feel that way is because they collect taxes from the industry, and the industry supports the politicians.
Lotteries is another example. If gambling was a morality issue, and it’s not, then surely gambling on lotteries should be banned. In the United States, the majority of States have lotteries, and rotten politicians passed a law that allows online lotteries. It’s a good thing that online lotteries are legal, but it shows you the hypocrisy and moral corruption of the rotten politicians.
When they collect money, it’s perfectly legal and moral, but when they don’t, it’s any excuses to block or ban the activity.
In the United States, I would like to know why betting on horses and lotteries online is allowed, but not playing blackjack, poker, slots, or any other casino games?
In France, how can sports betting and racehorse be allowed online, but not the traditional casino games?
It is very obvious that protectionism, hypocrisy, political and moral corruption drives the political world.
Rotten politicians and governments don’t care if they violate Word Trade Organization or European agreements, or other agreements on free trade. In fact, they don’t care about anything, but their own political agendas.
These rotten politicians don’t care if their unfair decisions and intolerances violate the fundamental rights of the people that elected and supported them.
The rights of the people doesn’t count. What counts is who supports them financially, and their own political agendas.
The problem is that too many people support and vote for corrupted politicians that lie through their teeth, and only do what is the best for them.
People should strongly remind their politicians that they are entitled to individual freedom. A majority of people wants legalized and regulated online gambling. Why are rotten politicians allowed to do so many things against the will of the people that elected them?
There is no doubt in my mind that voters are to blame for electing and supporting the wrong politicians. A typical example are the Republicans and the Bush administration.
Apart from looking after their own interests, and own political agendas, did the Bush administration do anything good or right for the American people?
In all fairness, voters and supporters are also to blame for backing up the wrong politicians. Why do they keep on supporting rotten and incompetent politicians that can only do what is the best for them?
Voters and supporters should stand up for their fundamental rights. They should kick out all the junk politicians that make life miserable for so many millions of people. They should only vote and support politicians that clearly spell out what they are going to do, and not do, if elected.
I am amazed that people don’t get sick and tired of all these incompetent and rotten politicians.
Enough is enough. No more broken promises, lies, excuses, intolerance, hypocrisy, fanatical views. Politicians must be reminded that they were elected to do what is best for the people that elected them, and not for their lousy and miserable and wrong own political agendas.
Governments need cash to support their expensive programs. The online gambling industry is prepared to pay a reasonable amount of tax in exchange for regulated and licensed online gambling. The people want online gambling to be legal and regulated.
Everything shows that it’s a good idea to regulate, license, and tax online gambling. People should not allow that a bunch of lousy miserable losers block their fundamental rights. These rotten politicians deserve to be kicked out, for the benefit of the majority of people.
